CAN News Fall 2022
NEW NAME
CAN is proud to announce that Consumer Action Network is now Consumer Advocate Network. At CAN, we advocate for consumers with the intention that they will become empowered to advocate for themselves. It is truly a collaborative process, and we have changed our name to Consumer Advocate Network to illustrate the work that we do with members of our consumer community in Washington, DC.
NEW HEADQUARTERS
After 19 years, CAN has relocated to a new office space just two blocks from our old location.
NEW TRAININGS
This year, CAN launched our first Emotional CPR (eCPR) training courses; educational programming designed to teach people to assist others through an emotional crisis. If you’re interested in attending one of our future courses, visit us here to sign up.
NEW WEBSITE
If you’re visiting us here, you’ve already seen our new website! Check back every month to see CAN News, find city resources, or see where we’ll be in the community in the coming weeks. We’d love to see you at our community events!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE DIANA DAVIS SPENCER FOUNDATION
CAN is deeply grateful for the generous gift from the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation, which will allow us to continue to work hard and fight for the dignity of consumers in Washington DC. Thank you so much for supporting the work that we do!
